What is a problem? It's a situation we feel worried, confused or unsettled about.
Our lives seem to be filled with problems, don't they? For many of us, problems are the first thing we think about in the morning and the last thing we think about at night. Our problems tend to define our daily lives and sap our mental and emotional energy.
Problems are not real. Situations may be real, but whether we turn them into problems or not depends completely on our attitude, our approach, and our response.
Every situation we call a "problem" has the same underlying cause
That underlying cause is failure to listen to our inner guidance.
Growing up, most of us were taught to look for guidance everywhere but where it counts. We were taught to:
Listen to our elders
Learn the rules of society
Face "reality"
To pray to a God who exists outside ourselves
The one thing we were not taught was to listen to our inner guidance. In fact, many of us were told outright that such inner guidance did not even exist! And if it did, it could not be trusted.
The truth is exactly the opposite
The ONLY reliable guide any of us has in our lives is our inner wisdom. This silent intelligence that lies beneath our minds is a tributary, an offshoot, of the same perfect, divine intelligence that creates galaxies, allows trillions of individual cells to come together to play a baseball game, and designs a human brain.
Infinite intelligence is infinite. There is nothing it cannot do. There is no "problem" it cannot solve.
When we learn to consult our inner guidance on all matters and to heed its feedback, problems cease to be problems. Our lives are 100% on track.
Truth is its name and it's all there is
Truth doesn't have to be pursued in a university or tested in a lab. It doesn't have to be written down in a Sacred Book. It exists inside all of us. In a living, vibrant form. It is the greatest gift we possess.
Raw, unfiltered Truth is available to each and every one of us, 24 x 7. When we are aligned with that Truth, there is no such thing as a problem. Life is seen to be perfect as it is. There may be situations to which we wish to respond, but these do not have to turn into problems.
In Truth, everything is fine. Events are unfolding right on schedule, exactly as they should. We are not required to "fix" reality; all we need do is align ourselves with it.
Aligning with the truth gives us pure power and confidence, without guilt or doubt.
How do you access the Truth?
The main way to access the Truth is to get Out of Your Mind.
Inner guidance is always available. All that is required is to ask and to quiet your mind long enough to get an answer.
Your silent inner guidance wants to help you with your "problems." You only need to consult it. You can do that by:
Putting yourself in a state of silence. Outer silence helps, but inner silence is what really matters.
Forming questions about your life and directing those questions inward.
Watching and listening for answers. They will come in the form of gentle urges, gut instincts, and "knowings."
How do you know it's your Inner Voice and not your Mind?
Here are some simple ways to know your inner voice is guiding you, not your mind:
1. You feel a zing of energy. Your body feels quietly energized, right down to the cells. A surge of excitement wells up within.
2. You feel a flood of peacefulness. Following your inner guidance feels joyful. Mental solutions, on the other hand, create anxiety and uncertainty.
3. You know and that's all the matters. Listening to inner guidance gives you a quiet inner certainty that goes deeper than logic, deeper than the picture of the world your senses may be sending you.
4. You have clarity. In the presence of true guidance, confusion parts like storm clouds in the morning sun.
5. You let go of worries in your head and feel trust in your heart. Inner guidance does not come primarily through the head. You feel it in your body, your gut, your heart.
6. You're (oddly) confident, sometimes in the face of great opposition and overwhelming "evidence" that your approach won't work.
